Maharashtra Educational Society was established in the year 1996 as a Public Charitable Trust providing higher education in the Mumbai region by Prof. Javed Iqbal Khan, the Former Minister of Education, Housing & Labour Welfare with Government of Maharashtra. Together with Oriental Education Society, the group has 15 Higher Education Institutes located on 4 campuses in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, with over 8000 students pursuing courses in different academic streams.
The institutes are all recognized by various bodies of Govt. of India like the A. I. C. T. E., The Pharmacy Council of India, National Council for Teachers Education, D.T.E., Govt. of Maharashtra and the degree courses are affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
In the last two and a half decades, the trusts have played a significant role in promoting and providing better education from intermediate to post graduation in the fields of Commerce, Management, Information Technology, Pharmacy and Teacher Education. Through its educational pursuits, Maharashtra Educational Trust is dedicated to the social and intellectual transformation of the young citizens of India.
