Introduction:
The Institute had organized two days induction Program for MMS Batch 2023-2025 on 28th and 29th August 2023. The objectives of the program were to make the students feel comfortable in their new environment, open them up, set a healthy daily routine, create bonding in the batch as well as between faculty and students, develop awareness, sensitivity and understanding of the self, people around them, society at large, and nature.
Day 1:
The program was inaugurated by lamp lighting done by Director Dr. Govind Shinde. The welcome note was delivered by Dr. Govind Shinde stating the importance of MMS program and the gathering was introduced to the various departments of the institution, their respective faculty members and general orientation about the college was to develop talents, improve awareness, enhances potential and looks to improve the quality of life. He also stressed to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among the students.
Prof. Sandhaya Sawant addressed and acquainted students with the MMS program structure, faculty, and campus facilities. A guided campus tour introduced students to important facilities, libraries, and study spaces. Some critical lacunas and sensitize towards exploring the academic interest and activities, reducing competition and making them work for excellence, build relations between teachers and students and overall personality development were also put into the lime light. After the speech a video was played for showing the journey of college from the establishment of the college.
A well-crafted curriculum serves as a reference to ensure that students are on the right track. Its components are designed to develop concepts, from a basic level to increasingly complex topics or skills. Prof. Neha Sharma, Academic coordinator and Examination in charge started the session on Curriculum by Welcoming all the students for their wonderful journey that is yet to begin. She emphasized this journey which will help to reacquaint students with the rigours of academic activities. She also explained how the process will help the students to relate their behavior to a range of archetypes and help them to introspect on how to develop as a successful business leader in near future. The two years curriculum was explained to them in detail. Highlighted the importance of each subject. She also gave a central theme regarding Evaluation System and Grading System for integrated assessment of students’ performance through examinations.
An Introduction about the importance of extracurricular (like seminar programs, internships, case studies etc.), co-curricular (like debates, group discussions, quizzes, TedX talks etc.) and extracurricular activities (like dancing, singing, sports etc.) were discussed by Prof. Nilesh Manore. Along with the academic activities, active immersion into co-curricular and extra-curricular activities is essential to strengthen the positivity. A Quick video recap of previous activities was shown. Main agenda of this program was to explore the aptitudes of students in different activities. To build the positive forte in courage, personality development, team work, intellectuality, forming capabilities and social awareness. Student council committee was also announced in this session.
Then the librarian Ms.Suman Yadav briefed regarding the central library and addressed about the facilities available and the process of utilizing the books, online links, journals, newspapers and internet.The day ended with some icebreaker activities.
Day 2:
The second day started with the formal session and the motivational speech of a Prodigy person named Dr Rohit Singh and Ms. Beena who addressed the students with Personality Development & Leadership Skills. Personality development includes activities that improve awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employ ability, enhance quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations.
The placement session by Dr.Satish Athawale was scheduled for student informing them about various career opportunities available after completion of their post-graduation. He discussed extensively on various jobs profiles with new comers and guided them for their corporate future. The day ended with some ice breaker
activities, in the view of increasing harmony between seniors and newcomers.
Finally the induction program ended with the Vote of Thanks.
